i wouldn't bother, i have halo aura front and dt swiss champion rear, those rims ideally need some strong spokes and build, and once done they make a great wheel but i wouldn't trust one with xc spokes.

i didn't actually lace it myself as i need them to be strong as i seem to wreck rear wheels super easily and i don't have any real expreience lacing wheels, anyways yeah you start on the right of the valve hole and you use the 3x patern, basically the spokes that cross in the middle are 4 spokes apart if that makes any sense, you can see this well in the picture of my rear wheel if you need any help visualising it, jon slater is also going to be useful as he laced his runaway himself so if you need anymore help/advice maybe hit him up.
